Patricia A. "Pat" Ohl, 66, of 92 Sturges St., James-town, passed away at 6:20 a.m. Thursday (July 12, 2012) in her home follow-ing a lengthy illness, with her loving husband and son by her side.
A lifelong area resident, she was born Oct. 2, 1945, in Jamestown, N.Y., a daughter of the late Jerome Harry and Helen Miller Domst.
She was a 1963 graduate of Jamestown High School and also a graduate of Jamestown Community College.
Before her retirement she was employed by the Cum-mins Engine Company for several years. In earlier years she had worked for the former Quality Markets and for several doctors' of-fices in the Jamestown area.
She was a communicant of Holy Apostles Parish at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and was a longtime active member of the Jamestown Babe Ruth World Series Committee serving as co-chairman of the Host Family division for many years.
She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchil-dren, whom she loved dear-ly. She will also be remem-bered for her kind hospital-ity and for making every-one feel welcome not only in her home but also to the Jamestown area.
Surviving are her hus-band, Ronald P. Ohl, whom she married Oct. 5, 1968; a son Anders Ohl; two grandchildren Marley Ohl, Ryan Ohl all of Jamestown; a brother Ronald (Nancy) Domst of Abingdon, Va.; a sister-in-law Diane (Ron) Seighman of Placentia, Cal-if.; and her nieces and nephews, Dr. James (Faith) Domst of Mt. Angel, Ore., Janelle (Mike) Bange of Elsberry, Miss., Cherrie (Ed) Duran, Cindy Willi-ams, Cathy Seighman all of Placentia, Calif. She also had a special place in her heart for her great-nieces and great-nephews.
Besides her father, who died May 17, 1983, and her mother, who died Oct. 2, 1985, she was preceded in death her sister-in-law E. Carolyn Domst who died Jan. 7, 1992.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Apostles Parish, Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Dennis W. Mende, pastor, will be celebrant. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Lind Fun-eral Home where a Chris-tian Wake Service will be led by Rev. Mende at 1:45 p.m. Monday.
