
Wayne Germaine
2013-04-20Wayne J. Germaine, 67, of 118 Franklin St., Lakewood, died at 9:05 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013, in his home.
He was born May 10, 1945, in Battle Creek, Mich., a son of the late Joseph and Eva Taylor Ger-maine.
A graduate of Jamestown High School, Wayne graduated from Jamestown Community College in 1967 and the State Univer-sity of New York at Albany in 1969 with an accounting degree. As an accountant, he had been employed in earlier years by Jamestown Macadam and prior to his retirement due to ill health, by Burgett and Robbins. He was also a former partner in the Big Tree Restaurant.
He was a member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club, Lakewood American Legion Post, Celoron Moose and the MacDonald's Senior Tour Golf League.
Wayne enjoyed golfing, boating, traveling, playing cards and his motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Waggoner Germaine, whom he married July 5, 1989; a son, Greg (Annie) Germaine of Williamsville, N.Y.; two daughters: Tricia (Anthony) Bonavoglia of Hopewell Junction, N.Y., and Michelle (Brock) Wadsworth of Lakewood; two grandchildren: Elia and AJ Bonavoglia, and he looked forward to the arrival of his third grandchild by his daughter, Michelle (and Brock) Wadsworth this coming September. Wayne is also survived by a brother, Michael Germaine of Clearwater, Fla.; his mother-in-law, Barbara Bianco of Lakewood; father-in-law, Marvin Waggoner of Warren; several brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews; and his 'granddogs': Sadie and Jack, and 'grandcat', Stinker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather-in-law, Silvio "Whiz" Bian-co.
The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Deacon Cathy Smith, Hospice chaplain, will offi-ciate.
Friends will be received from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Wednesday prior to the 7 p.m. funeral service at Lind's.
