
Charles Dispenza
2021-12-22Charles Wilson Dispenza, 76, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2021 with his family by his side.
He is predeceased by his parents, Dr. Samuel A. Dispenza and Florence Dispenza and his brother, Samuel Dispenza (Donna). Survived by his wife, Bernadette T. Dispenza, of 47 years, his two sons, Thomas Dispenza (Elizabeth) and Michael Dispenza, brother Dr. James Dispenza (Donna) and two beautiful grandchildren; Sister and Brother-in-laws Marilyn and Louis Andolino, Karen and Leo Trickey, Rosemary Bergin (Kevin) as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Charles was born on December 5, 1945 in Jamestown, NY. He earned his Masters in Industrial Engineering at Cornell University. In 1968, he began working at Eastman Kodak as an Industrial Engineer, where he would later meet his future wife, Bernadette, and in 1975, he accepted a job offer at the Rochester Institute of Technology within the Career Services and CO-OP department, where he would remain for the rest of his professional career of 46 years.
Charles’s friends will remember him as a devout Catholic, family man, golfer and New York Yankee fan. His passion and commitment to family and community extended to coaching his two son’s little league baseball teams, serving as a volunteer lector at St John of Rochester Church and loyal member to the Knights of Columbus.
He enjoyed his retirement years with his family and friends.
Charles’s life exemplified limitless compassion, care and integrity. He is profoundly missed.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday December 28, 2021 from 10am – 11am at St John of Rochester, Fairport (8 Wickford Way, Fairport, NY). A Funeral Mass will be held immediately after Tuesday December 28, 2021 11am at St John of Rochester, Fairport.
A final memorial gathering and celebration of Charle’s life will be held at a later date in the spring 2022.
